Dialogue Animation

I wanted to go out with a bang on this one. I listened to a lot of Oneyplays as background noise and Zach is a quotable goldmine. This was probably the most challenging assignment I've done for this class. I ran into so many challenges from the subtle movement of the Goblin to the hammy movements of Spider-Zach. This would have worked as a rough animation but I wanted to capture that 90's Spiderman vibe so bad. If there's anything I learned from this assignment its to pace myself.

Puppet Test

Im sorry for the meme. I had a really hard time figuring out what I wanted to do with this project. I know I wanted to make a beat up looking hand puppet but I didnt know what I wanted him to do. But then I found this beautiful piece of inspiration. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPcC7cHEhzw

Walk Cycle

Finally I'm not animating game characters. But seriously, I wanted to try an original character that I designed for another class. I also found an old guitar that I used for reference.

Weight project

Instead of the usual box lift I decided to go with a big ol' hammer swing. I usually get my ideas from class and we were talking about Kirby. I also wanted to practice some character interaction.

Headturn

Here's a head turn starring my totally original character Luigi. I wanted to follow a character model and Luigi's model in Superstar Saga was my favorite model of the character

Pantomime

Here he is, my flour sack. I looked up a bunch of car slide references and I was in way too deep to turn back. It was really challenging to make a stubby character like the flour sack do a motion that long legged guys like Bo Duke can pull of.

Checker Wrecker Ball

Pendulum practice. I wanted give each item some character so I made a little Sonic 1 tribute. Funny enough the trickiest part of this animation was counting down Eggman's laugh.
